Why people look for one
UseePlus (also listed as "USee camera") is the companion app for a whole family of inexpensive USB endoscopes and borescopes. Reasons people search for an alternative: the Mac version needs an Apple-silicon Mac, there is no straightforward Windows or Linux route, the app wants permissions that an inspection camera has no use for, and nobody enjoys installing one-off apps for a tool they use twice a year.
What this is
Endoscope Viewer is a web page that talks to the camera directly through the browser's USB support. The camera's protocol is implemented in the page itself; there is no server involved and the video never leaves your computer. It runs in Chrome or Edge on macOS, Windows, Linux and ChromeOS, and in Chrome on Android. It is free.
- Live video at the camera's native 640×480.
- Photos saved as the camera's own JPEG files; video clips as WebM.
- Rotate, mirror, zoom, freeze, a grid, fullscreen.
- Optional date, time and title stamp on captures; optional noise smoothing.
- The camera's own button takes a photo (configurable).
Which cameras
The ones that show up as "supercamera" or "Geek szitman supercamera", USB ID 2ce3:3828, and the 0329:2022 variant. Brands include Bazo, Depstech, Oasis and Vividia models. How to tell what you have.
What it does not do
It cannot run on an iPhone or iPad (why), and it cannot control the LED brightness in software, because the camera has no command for it; the wheel on the cable does that.
Try it
Open the viewer Chrome or Edge on a computer, or Chrome on Android. Nothing is uploaded.
