Cameras
The viewer implements one protocol, the UseePlus / "supercamera" one, and offers to connect only to USB IDs 2ce3:3828 and 0329:2022. A listed ID means the picker will show the device, not that it has been tested; cameras with the same ID can differ in firmware. Brand names are a hint and nothing more: makers put several different camera modules in the same packaging.
| Camera | USB ID | Evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Bazo USB endoscope, shows as "Geek szitman supercamera" | 2ce3:3828 | Tested here, 2026-11-06/07: live video at about 16 fps 640×480, photo, 2-minute stream, hot-plug, camera button; in Chrome on macOS 15, Apple M1. Case study. |
| i4season / UseePlus-branded endoscope | 2ce3:3828 | Reported by another open-source project with the same ID; not tested with this viewer. |
| Vividia FC-5550i | 2ce3:3828 | Reported as the test unit of an open-source driver for this protocol; not tested with this viewer. |
| Other cameras that insist on the UseePlus app (sold under Depstech, Oasis and many unbranded names) | 2ce3:3828 or 0329:2022 | Listed only. 0329:2022 is marked untested by every driver we know of. Please report success or failure with the ID. |
| Endoscopes that work in Photo Booth, Windows Camera or Cheese | various | Not this viewer's job. They are UVC webcams; use any camera app. How to tell. |
| Wi-Fi endoscopes | n/a | Unsupported. They do not use USB at all. |
Browsers and devices
| Where | Status | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Chrome or Edge on macOS | Tested (Chrome, macOS 15, Apple silicon) | Intel Macs are expected to behave the same; not tested. |
| Chrome or Edge on Windows 10/11 | Not yet tested by us | The browser route exists; the camera may need the generic WinUSB driver once. Steps. |
| Chrome or Chromium on Linux | Not yet tested by us | Needs a udev rule so your user may open the device. Steps. |
| Chrome on ChromeOS | Not yet tested by us | Same browser engine; no driver step expected. |
| Chrome on Android | Not yet tested on hardware | The page's phone layout and Downloads saving are exercised in automated checks with a simulated camera, not with a real phone. Needs a USB-C OTG adapter and enough power. Steps. |
| Safari, Firefox | Unsupported | No WebUSB. The page says so before you connect anything. |
| iPhone, iPad (any browser) | Unsupported | Why. |
This table changes as reports come in. If your combination is "not yet tested" and it works, a short note with camera ID, OS and browser version lets us mark it tested.
